Jack Watkins
I've been a freelance writer on the arts and heritage, based in London and South East England for about ten years. My great passions are Music - especially Soul, R& B and Rockabilly - and Cinema, with favourite subjects being Film Noir, Alfred Hitchcock, and film comedy from the Marx Brothers to Will Ferrell. I am keen on doing as much as posible to elevate the profile of the best of British cinema, both current and past.
I have a degree in Medieval History from the University of London. I am fascinated by all periods of history, but have a special penchant for the so-called Dark Ages and the Normans.
I also write about nature for the British broadsheet newspaper The Daily Telegraph and you can see examples of my features on birds, plants and landscapes at www.telegraph.co.uk
